Scenic route around the Twistesee. New route from 2011. The running route leads almost exclusively over paved field and forest paths. The route is profiled and there are some climbs to be mastered. From a height of approx. 225 meters, the first few kilometers are sometimes more, sometimes less uphill, until the highest point of approx. 480 meters is reached (see route profile). From around kilometer 14, it goes back down to the lake. Start and finish are at the Twistesee lido. The marathon runners run the route twice. Refreshment points approximately every 5 kilometers. The route is a pure landscape run. Due to the route, there are almost no spectators.
