The circular route begins at the museum or the train station and leads through the Edertal to the mouth of the Schwalm. You have beautiful views of the Altenburg and from Hopfenberg into the Edertal, Felsberg and the Heiligenberg ruins. Near the mouth of the Schwalm, when you cross the embankment, you come to the site of the Rhünda skull. A little further you can rest in the Hopfenberghütte, after which it goes back to Gensungen.
