Picturesque bike ride through the Spreewald near Vetschau, Brandenburg. The starting point of this route is the tourist information at Schlossstrasse 10 in Vetschau/Spreewald. The path first leads in the direction of Stradow - the 50-hectare area of the Stradow pond landscape is well worth seeing here. Via the "RadShower Kaupen" (with its architecture so typical for the Spreewald) we continue to the Kossateich. Here you can see ospreys, whooper swans and many other waterfowl. Along the river Leineweber (Südumfluter) you reach the RadShower Buschmühle, a listed former watermill from 1777. The next stop is the Dubkow-Mühle, one of the oldest inns in the Spreewald. It is located directly on the main Spree and is a popular gastronomic destination. Then it goes in the direction of the castle colony. On this section of the route, it's worth stopping at the show craft yard with courtyard café, at the Conrad boathouse, at the Jank family's Spreewald cider factory or at the "Kolonieschänke" organic inn. On the cycle path at the Leineweberfiß you drive in the direction of Naundorf. On this stage you can take a short break at the Barefoot Park (Kurfürstendamm). Highlights: - Beautiful views - Local flora and fauna - Varied natural landscapes - Cultural and historical sights - Refreshments
