Stage 6 of the long-distance cycle route “Havel-Radweg”, Brandenburg / Saxony-Anhalt.
This is the sixth and last stage of the almost 400 km long Havel cycle path, which follows the eponymous river from the source near Ankershagen to the mouth near Gnevsdorf and is one of the most beautiful river cycle paths in Germany.
The sixth stage of the Havel cycle path is around 67 km long, begins in Rathenow and ends at the mouth of the Havel in Gnevsdorf. While you accompany the Havel on its last kilometers, you pass several idyllic nature reserves, wonderful lakes and beautiful Hanseatic cities.
The starting point of this route can be reached by bus and train and after reaching the confluence of the river you can continue to Wittenberge train station, for example. There are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments.
