The eighth stage of the meadow walker route is ideal for bringing mind, body and soul into harmony with nature. You walk past the Swabian Farm Museum from Illerbeuren over the historic Illerbrücke and through Engelharz with the striking water tower. The hike leads through forests, over flowering meadow landscapes and through small stream valleys. You then hike over the Kalden castle ruins to the stage destination, Altusried.
