Wonderful riverside hike in the Waldnaabtal nature reserve, Bavaria.
The hike leads into the deep forests around the wild and romantic Waldnaab valley. The river meanders sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly through the rustic landscape and there are always huge rocks by the water.
As the route runs through somewhat wild nature, the hike occasionally leads over sticks and stones, roots, steps and narrow bridges.
The start is at the "Blockhütte" hiking car park. It is possible to stop off at the popular "Blockhütte" hut along the way, but it is important to check the current opening times beforehand (see "Tips").
Highlights:
- "Blockhütte"
- Water wheel
- Schwarzenschwall castle stable
