The Steinkartrundweg is one of the most beautiful natural hiking trails in Eastern Bavaria. The hiking trail shown here does not show the whole way, but shortens approx. 2 km with the A6 path. The hiking trail is very varied and offers some very mystical places as well as wonderful views. Most of the route leads on forest trails and trails through wooded areas. The few places where you walk on back roads are as good as not used. The entire route is well signposted (hiking trail 6) and also offers some shortcuts (trails A6, A7 and A8). An overview board of the hiking trail with the existing abbreviations is available at the hiking parking lot, which is the start and end of the hiking trail at the same time. Since at most in St. Salvator there is the possibility to stop in an inn to make a snack, it is advisable to take something with you to eat and to look for some nice places on the way to take a break. Parking is available at the start and end of the route.
