Wild and romantic hike in the Franconian Forest.
A wonderful hike through rustling forests and the wild gorge. A castle once stood on the Wildenstein rock and, according to legend, Thor hurled his hammer against the rock face and thus paved the way for the Steinach to flow through the rock! With the power of its water, the Steinach once drove up to 25 different mills, including paper, powder and cutting mills.
There is a restaurant for refreshments at the starting point at the Neumühle.
