Promising circular hike near Schwandorf, Bavaria.
It starts at the Alte Hochstraße forest car park and then leads into the forest. The first half of the 11 km long route leads through open fields, the other half through a wooded plateau. One offers a view of Neunkirchen or the Annaberg and insights into the Naab Valley from the elevated open area; the other forest paths on the foothills of the Upper Palatinate Jura. In Hartenricht, a district of Schwandorf, we recommend taking a look at the chapel that the village community is renovating and maintaining. Access has been redesigned.
