This route expands the popular hiking trail through the Breitachklamm near Oberstorf into a beautiful loop. The Breitachklamm is one of the deepest gorges in the Bavarian Alps and one of the deepest rocky gorges in Central Europe. Alpine conditions prevail in the gorge - sturdy shoes are a must and short-term closures due to dangerous weather conditions are possible. The way back is relaxed and full of beautiful views of the surrounding mountain peaks over the Alpe Dornach.
Please note: Due to snowmelt and/or repair work, the Breitachklamm is closed every year from around mid-March to around the end of April and between mid-November and mid-December.
