Ring der Regionen

Challenging cycle tour around Munich. This route follows the "Ring of Regions", a huge long-distance cycle loop that encircles the entire greater Munich area. It is a considerable endurance challenge on almost exclusively tarmac paths, designed for "racing bikes" and cycle tours lasting several days. The well-signposted route links the picturesque landscapes and historic towns of nine different Bavarian districts, from the plains near Freising to the gentle foothills of the Alps. Although the terrain is more "hilly" than mountainous, the enormous distance requires excellent physical fitness.
