Worth seeing here is the late medieval hilltop castle on a rocky cone over 420m high with a castle cave. From here, the route leads via Steinsberg, Buchenlohe, Bubach am Forst, Ziegelhütte, Pirkensee and Ponholz back to the starting point in Maxhütte-Haidhof.
