Scenic long-distance hiking trail from Franconian Switzerland to Upper Palatinate.
This is the second stage of the approximately 222 km long Jura line of the Main-Danube hiking trail network. It goes from Franconian Switzerland through the Veldensteiner Forest, into Hersbrucker Switzerland, the Altdorfer Land and finally into the Bavarian Jura to Regensburg. On the way there are enough places to stop for refreshments and overnight stays, so that the hiking route can be wonderfully divided into several daily stages.
