The hike begins at the parking lot east of Lehen. The Schwaiger-Alm-Steig leads in the direction of Schwarzköpfel and then continues through the forest over the Rechelkopf to the Sigrizalm. The Sigrizalm on the Rechelkopf is a private hut run by the DAV Waakirchen section and is not staffed. However, it is open to everyone and drinks are sold here from time to time (see tips).
