Franconian Mountain Trail Stage 17: Wonsees - Aufseß

This route is stage 17 of the Fränkischer Gebirgsweg, a long-distance trail in Bavaria; this specific segment starts in Wonsees and ends in Aufseß. The path leads from the market town of Wonsees into the heart of the Franconian Switzerland (Fränkische Schweiz), following the scenic Kaiserbachtal valley toward the village of Hollfeld. The itinerary continues through the romantic and quiet valleys of the northern karst landscape, passing impressive rock formations and crossing the watershed toward the Aufseßtal valley before reaching the "World Record Brewery Village" of Aufseß.
