Franconian Mountain Trail Stage 16: Glashütten - Wonsees

This route follows stage 6 of the Fränkischen Gebirgsweg, a long-distance trail in Germany, beginning in Glashütten and ending in Wonsees. The path leaves Glashütten along the forest edge toward Obernsees, which features historical buildings and a thermal bath. It climbs near the Knock nature reserve and its summit hut before passing through Schönfeld and Kleinhül. The trail then leads through the historic Sanspareil Rock Garden, an 18th-century English landscape garden, before finishing in Wonsees. Overnight stays are accommodated in local guesthouses and hotels in Obernsees and Wonsees; wild camping is strictly prohibited along this section. Hikers must pack a reliable water filter to treat surface water from natural streams between towns.
