Marienberg Fortress in Würzburg

Historical city walk to the Marienberg Fortress in Würzburg. This exciting loop starts at the parking lot at the Hofgarten Würzburg. From there, the walk through the old town begins past the cathedral, town hall, and the four-tube fountain to the Main. This is eventually crossed over the Alte Marienbrücke. After the bridge, a climb over the Neutorwiese to the Marienberg Fortress awaits, which is worthwhile with the expected view over the city. It continues in a loop past the Ludwigsanlage and finally follows the course of the Kühbach back to the Main. From there, it goes back the same way.
