Family-friendly hike through the Sackdillingen rock labyrinth
This hike begins and ends at the Sackdilling hiking car park at the Krottensee forest. Flashlights or headlamps are necessary for cave exploration. The rocks in the Sackdillinger Felsenlabyrinth are reef rocks from the Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago. The marvelous rocky area is located in the Franconian Switzerland / Frankenjura Nature Park. The rock labyrinth fascinates with dizzyingly high rock formations and eerie caves that lead deep into the mountain and are freely accessible. The rock tour runs mostly on comfortable paths, partly gravel, partly beautiful and soft paths through the green mixed forest.
