Benediktweg Stage 2: Tittmoning – Seebruck

This route is stage 2 of the Benediktweg, an official long-distance cycle path in Upper Bavaria, Germany, running from Tittmoning to Seebruck. Starting in historic Tittmoning, cyclists pedal south past fields and meadows along Lakes Taching and Waging toward Waging am See. The trail continues through the Rupertiwinkel countryside to Traunstein, crossing the Traun River before leading to Chieming and finishing on the shores of Lake Chiemsee in Seebruck. Wild camping is strictly prohibited; cyclists stay overnight at local guesthouses, hotels, or designated campsites along the route. Water is easily replenished in the towns along the way. Both ends connect via regional transit operated by Deutsche Bahn (https://www.bahn.de). No permits are required. The Benediktweg is a 248 km (154 miles) cycling circuit visiting key sites from the life of Pope Benedict XVI, typically completed in 4 to 5 stages.
