An den Ufern des Mains in Kitzingen

Beautiful river hike in Kitzingen. This beautiful route runs along the banks of the Main through Kitzingen on both sides. It starts not far from the Old Main Bridge. First we head south, past the Old Synagogue and the Mainkai. The river is crossed by means of the Konrad Adenauer Bridge and then it continues north. Passing near the Mondseeinsel you reach the garden show area with the viewpoint Winterhafendamm. If you are interested in the diversity of Bavarian nature, you can spend the whole day here and get information. At the north bridge it goes back over the Main and back to the starting point. When the weather is good, it's worth visiting Mondsee Island, which has a beautifully landscaped outdoor pool with a diving platform and playgrounds. Finally, you get back to the starting point through the beautiful old town of Kitzingen. There are a few places to stop for refreshments along the way. Kitzingen can be reached by train.
