This fantastic route leads to the Urach waterfall, a very special natural spectacle. A special phenomenon can be observed at the waterfall. The calcareous water loses lime and deposits it in moss cushions, covering them with a layer of lime. Over thousands of years, the new layers form meter-thick deposits from which the porous rock calcareous tufa (spring tufa) is formed.
Natural paths through the forest landscape dominate, along which wonderful views of the landscape can be enjoyed. A beautiful natural highlight along the route is the elephant cave. A nice detour at the end to the Schlossberg or the Hohenurach crevice cave is well worthwhile.
