Challenging hike on the Hornisgrinde, Baden-Württemberg.
This popular and quite challenging route starts at Achern railroad station and leads through vineyards and cherry orchards on a sandy path to Gaishölle. In the forest, the route climbs uphill on mostly narrower paths, stepped via Hohritt, Breitenbrunnen to the B500. From there, the almost alpine trail begins along the western flank of the Hornisgrinde up to the summit.
The Grinde hut with its deckchairs invites you to linger, as does the magnificent view to the south. Further detours to the Mummelsee and Katzenkopf can be planned.
