Parts of the hike run along the Sebastiansweg, an old processional path. From here it is worth making a detour to the natural monument Erratischer Block, a huge boulder made of eye gneiss with an area of almost 30 square meters. It has been at this point in the Frankenberg since the last Ice Age almost 15,000 years ago. It was transported here by a glacier - enclosed in ice.
