The Sehring quarry pond is nestled in the picturesque Lichtennauer Rheinniederung between Greffern and Grauelsbaum. The Lichtennauer Rheinniederung is a designated nature and landscape conservation area covering 236 hectares. This includes the Wörthwald in Lichtenau and the Riedmatten in Scherzheim.
