Popular cycle tour in the Murg Valley, Baden-Württemberg. The tour starts at the railway station in Freudenstadt. The journey can easily be planned to Freudenstadt by train. From there, the route is a leisurely downhill ride through the Murgbach valley. After the first steep descent towards Christophstal, the "Tour de Murg" route follows. It goes through shady wooded areas, always following the Murg through a narrowing valley. The villages of Weisenbach, Gernsbach and Gaggenau are passed and the route finally ends in Rastatt. Here, too, it is possible to depart by train. In between, the route will pass other railway stations, which make it easy to shorten the route. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments and shopping. The entire route is signposted in both directions. The tour can optionally also start in Baiersbronn at the railway station. This allows to avoid the steep descent. Highlights: - picturesque Murgbach valley - Varied cycle tour
