Heroldstatt-Gosbach-Münsingen

This road bike route offers a great tour through the characteristic karst landscape of the Swabian Alb, which is characterized by gentle limestone plateaus and deep, wooded valleys. Steady climbs alternate with rewarding descents in the heart of the UNESCO Global Geopark, where 40,000 years of history are etched into the landscape. The route leads through the biosphere reserve near Münsingen, a former military training area that is now protected due to its unique biodiversity. Traditional juniper heaths and white limestone cliffs characterize the route. The terrain is completely asphalted and therefore ideal for racing bikes, but the frequent climbs require a high level of physical fitness and stamina.
