4th stage of the Remstal cycle route, Baden-Württemberg.
The last stage begins in Schwäbisch Gmünd near the railway station. Firstly, the path goes through the flower-filled Remspark into the old town, past the university and out of town.
The scenery along the Rems and Mühlkanal to Böbigen is very attractive. "Art on the adventure cycle path" is the motto here - there are great wood carvings to admire along the way. The route continues to Mögglingen and Essingen. A wide plain with meadows and pastures and grazing cattle awaits between the two towns. There is also the option of making a detour to the Remsursprung spring along the way.
It is not far to the Limes town of Aalen. A visit to the newly opened Limes Museum there is highly recommended. There are also numerous cafés and restaurants to round off the tour.
