This route on the Rohrhardsberg is a certified premium hiking trail - and it could hardly be more typical of the Black Forest! The narrow paths lead across picturesque meadows, pastures and moors and then parallel to the stream through beautiful spruce forests and past typical Black Forest farms, such as the impressive Schänzlehof. As the name suggests, this marvellous loop is not just about rustic forests. During the summer months, cuckoo clocks can be spotted in many places along the way, which are placed in the forest as nesting boxes for the birds.
As it is uphill for a while at the beginning, the route is quite demanding and should take around 2-3 hours. There are refreshment stops along the way.
The start is at the car park on Obertalstraße. The Schonach Mühlebühlbrücke bus stop is nearby.
