Certified premium "Traufgang" hiking trail in the Swabian Alb, Baden-Württemberg. This premium hiking trail is part of the "Traufgänge auf der Schwäbischen Alb" and leads past Celtic ruins, prehistoric buildings and colourful wildflowers. The fairytale ascent offers wonderful views of the surrounding Eyachtal valley. The trail leads along the babbling Lauterbach stream and then through a wild and romantic gorge to the Hossinger ladder - an iron staircase that has to be climbed. Good shoes and hiking poles are recommended for the steeper sections. The start is at the "Traufgang Hossinger Leiter" car park. There is also a restaurant here for refreshments.
