This exciting tour is suitable for young and old alike. Opened in July 2009, the nature trail winds through forests that could serve as habitat for a lynx. In fact, evidence of individual lynx living here is found from time to time in the Black Forest. However, sightings are extremely rare. The lynx avoids humans and is a true master of camouflage and stealth. Accordingly, the adventure trail is designed in keeping with the motto “Sneak, Peek, Prick Up Your Ears”: It winds along winding paths, over rocks, and across narrow bridges—all set, of course, amidst the idyllic Black Forest. For children, there’s a playful approach, and plenty to discover at the interactive stations. You can find plenty of information about this at the Lynx Hut. Unfortunately, the trail is not wheelchair-accessible and is also unsuitable for strollers. It’s accessible by bus from Baden-Baden. The Bühlerhöhe/Plättig hiking parking lot is located at the starting point. There are places to stop for refreshments near the route.
