First stage of the "Lonetal-Wanderweg" long-distance hiking trail, Baden-Württemberg.
The first stage of the 60 km long Lonetal hiking trail begins at the train station in Amstetten and ends in Bernstadt.
Behind the Kreuzstein industrial area, the route goes along the nature reserve to Hochberg, past the glider airfield and to Urspring to Lonetopf and to Lonsee. Alternatively, you can hike to the Ad Lunam fort and further along the Salenberg nature reserve to Lonsee (marked with a yellow diamond). From the town hall there, it goes along the Lohne to the Lonesee. In the further course you also pass the remains of a medieval refuge, the Schoenrainmuehle at the foot of the nature reserve (mill museum) and the Eichenberg leisure area.
