The Graf von Wiser Weg is a local hiking trail run by the Karlsruhe Black Forest Association. It begins in Karlsruhe at the Durlacher Tor and ends at the Karl Knierer Weg on the district boundary to Graben-Neudorf. The southern part is looked after by the Karlsruhe Black Forest Association, and the Karlsruhe-Neureut Black Forest Association is responsible for the northern part. The path is flat, has no mountains. Partly it is paved, partly gravel, partly a natural dirt road. It is at its loveliest in spring, when the grass has grown high along the path and has not yet been mowed. But it is also attractive in winter, because then you can look deeper into the forest. However, the dying forest also makes this path difficult, because dead trees often break off in the wind and can fall on the path. The further the forest dieback progresses, the more dangerous it becomes in the forest. The markings are now very incomplete in the northern part, so it is advisable to load the GPS track onto the navigation system.
