Bretten - Maulbronn - Derdinger Horn - Seentour

This scenic tour begins and ends in Bretten and leads through a beautiful valley via Ruit past the Aalkistensee to Maulbronn to the monastery, which is well worth seeing. From there it goes past the Tiefensee through extensive forests to the hidden "Reutsee" over the romantic Scheuelberghof (there are beautiful horses here), which also offers overnight accommodation, then it goes downhill (12% gradient) to Hohenklingen - an enchanting little village that is used for Invites you to linger. After a coffee in the restaurant "Zum Lamm" directly in the hairpin, you then go uphill through wooded stretches to the lake "Bernhardsweiher" to get to the "Derdinger Horn" after another climb. From there there is also the possibility to drive the 1 km way downhill to the "Kraichsee". However, you have to go up the path again, there is no other way to get back up to the "Derdinger Horn" - the effort is definitely worth it, because the view is simply stunning over the entire southern region. The rest of the route goes through various villages, fields and meadows back to Bretten.
