Relaxed cycle path around the Chiemsee in Bavaria This route starts at the Chiemsee-Schifffahrt on the western part of the Chiemsee. The loop in this map is counter-clockwise; however, the way can be done in either direction. The route runs entirely along the shore, offering excellent panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. The trail leads past numerous lidos, which invite you to relax and swim. Panoramic loop trail at Chiemsee, Bavaria. From the Seestrasse car park you hike via Baumgarten and Heinrichswinkel to the mouth of the Tiroler Achen. Along the shore you walk back to the Feldwieser bay. Shortly before the end of the hike there are several places to stop for refreshments. In summer you can also relax in the public lido. Highlights of the hike: - Nature reserve at the mouth of the Tiroler Achen - Chiemsee - Strandbad Feldwies - Panoramic views over the Chiemsee

The tour begins overseas and leads to Rottau. From there you go to the Steinlingalm directly under the Kampenwand. After a short break, past the small chapel, around the Kampenwand, towards the Piesenhausener Hochalm. !!Danger!! In this section, the bike has to be carried most of the time (approx. 1.5 hours) and you have to overcome a few meters of altitude on gravel and washed-out paths. So nothing for beginners, only something for experienced mountain bikers.
