Best trails near Großer Traithen

Challenging hike worth every step. Wonderful views and beautiful idyllic hiking trails. From Rosengasse it goes to Rosengassenalm, along the Jägerwand to the saddle between Klein and Grosse Traithen. On the way back you come along the Unterberger Joch, Steintraithen / Steilner yoke and past the dilapidated Fellalm.

A nice round tour that is ideally suited as a half-day tour. Although the hike is quite short, you still need a certain level of stamina and surefootedness. When it is wet, the paths are sometimes very muddy and therefore extremely smooth! If you are not that safe in the mountains, you should only go on the tour in good conditions. Above all, the climbing area on the summit of the Kleiner Traithen with rope insurance and the descent would otherwise become an unnecessary risk.

From the car park at the Gasthaus Rosengasse (1100m) direction S along the path to Brünnstein, at the Rosengassen Alm continue towards SSW over the aisle. Challenging mountain hike from Ursprungstal. This route is a "black mountain trail" (difficult) and requires alpine experience. The final ascent to the summit is not a hike; it is a short, exposed scramble (grade I), secured with steel ropes. Absolute surefootedness and a head for heights are essential for this final section. The path to the summit is a strenuous but beautiful mountain trail that leads past the Fellalm and offers fantastic panoramic views from the summit.

This easy but nevertheless quite long stage leads from the much trodden paths of the Wendelstein mountains into the heart of the Schliersee mountains. The initial leisurely hike over the alpine pastures of the Himmelmoosalm is followed by a climb to the Traithen mountain. Panoramic hike on the Kleiner Traithen, Bavaria. This tour leads up from the Ursprungtal valley, with a few more meters of altitude to overcome than from any other starting point for this summit.
