The village became famous for the Wessobrunn prayer, which is now considered to be the oldest linguistic monument in Germany with Christian content. On the way there, you pass through the impressive forests of the nature reserves "Dettenhofer Filz und Hälsle" and "Erlwiesfilz", with short detours to Dettenschwang or Rott along the way.
