Lam Nam Nan national park is characterized by its various kinds of forest and long mountain ranges. It is also the headwaters of the stream north of Sirikit reservoir. Its forests consist of mixed forest, dipterocarp forest, and dry evergreen forest housing many types of wild animals such as barking deer, deer, boar, bear and over 200 kinds of poultries. It is officially announced to be a National Park. Mountain ranges blanket with the dawn mist is the memorable image of Lam Nam Nan national park. It is one of the fascinating place in Thailand to visit due to Its various types of forest and being the headwater of Sirikit reservoir. The highest of the National Park is Doi Phu Phaya Por with the height of 1,350 meters from the sea level, used as the border marker between Phrae and Uttaradit province.
