Best trails in Thung Salaeng Luang National Park
Thung Salaeng Luang national park is a savannah grassland terrain with high mountainous ranges. The National Park covers an area of 16 square kilometres and is covered in naturally endowed pine trees and wild flowers. Thung Salaeng Luang National Park is the watershed of streams that build the Nan River which spread across Phitsanulok and its neighboring province Phetchabun. The park is suitable for trekking and hiking and starts off at the sub office at Ban Nong Mae Na at the 100 km. marker off Highway no. 12. The trail takes you to Khao Kho where you will find beautiful scenery and wild flowers that blossom during October to December. The flatland is accessible through a 16 km clay road or from the trail starting at Ban Nong Mae Na for a distance of 15 km. and the Mae Na park office is superb for exploring the ecological system of the park.
