#22 of 30 national parks

Ängsö National Park, located in the Stockholm archipelago in the heart of Roslagen, is one of Sweden's oldest national parks, founded in 1909 to preserve the beautiful cultural landscape. Here you will find flourishing hay meadows, pastures and old pollarded trees, making the island a living example of traditional agricultural landscape. In spring and early summer, the land is filled with colour, and birdlife thrives in the varied environments - from deciduous groves and coniferous forests to sea bays and bird sanctuaries. The national park covers 190 hectares, 73 of which are land.
