Best trails in Mount Isarog National Park

Mount Isarog, an active stratovolcano is also known as the Vulcan de Agua. This mountain is 2,000 meters above sea level and is home to hot springs, vents and active fumaroles. Mount Isarog has it all, this mountain contains four types of habitats: grassland, lowland, montane, and mossy forests. The biodiversity here is extreme in abundance.

Consocep is a barangay in the town of Tigaon, Camarines Sur. If not familiar with the place, it is a 1-hour travel from Naga to the said town. Since this one is a well-maintained trail and near the resort, all the roads leading to the summit are trimmed and signages are available along the way. There is also a falls near the endpoint that is majestic and well maintained.

Mount Isarog is another famous mountain found in Bicol Region next to Mount Mayon. What's interesting with this location is the availability of tourist spots in the area. Tourist spots around Mount Isarog are the Panicuason Hot Spring Resort in Naga City, Hibiscus Spring Resort and Deer Farm both in Ocampo. You will have a nice view of Mt. Isarog when you are in the foothills of Mount Isarog- a 5-hectare sanctuary of antlers and different species of deers.

This trail is part of a trekking trail going to the well- known Mt. Isarog in Naga City. It usually starts near the Mount Isarog jump off point where you can park your vehicles. Since this place is well maintained by the local government unit, it is clean, organized and restrooms and resting cottages are present. The scenery at the falls is majestic and the water is crystal clear. It is nice to do the trek on a sunny day to avoid muds.
