#1 - Lifa Gal Lookout
Avdat National ParkLength: 1.3 mi • Est. 38 m
This trail around the Lifa Gal Lookout (מצפור ליפא גל) is a great hike for people who have limited time and want to get acquainted with the desert´s cultural history. The trail is short and easy and intriguing and is comprised of two parts - the park and the village. The park presents a collection of images carved over history in black rocks. These petroglyphs are ancient (and some contemporary) impressions of the way of life and the animals of the desert over time. From the park a short path leads to the neighboring Bedouin village. An accommodation-tent in the very end of the village offers food and drinks and tales about the Bedouin in the past and the present.
