Mathikettan is a park located in the Udumbanchola taluk in the Idukki district of Kerala state. Established in 2008, it is an important elephant strip situated between Eravikulam National Park and Pampadam Shola National Park. The name Mathikettan means 'mind confuser' in Tamil, as it is believed that people can sometimes forget the way they entered the park. The park is highly biodiverse, with a variety of indigenous species, including Tigers, Panthers, Elephants, Giant grizzled squirrel, Flying squirrels, Spotted deer, and Nilgiri Tahr. It is also a paradise for bird watchers, as it is home to numerous bird species.
