- Hard·10.3 miPicturesque ski tour in the Salzburg Saalachtal This steep but varied ski tour leads to a wonderful panoramic peak in the Berchtesgaden Alps, the Hocheisspitze. From there, the view over the Salzburg Saalachtal is magnificent. The starting point of this tour in Hirschbichl is the Waltmühlsäge car park. Alternatively, this route can be reached by bus.

Important information about flora and fauna is available at the Haus der Berge National Park Center, which also impresses with its special architecture. The main information center is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Last admission is 4 pm. There are also many other information points scattered throughout the national park. There are small exhibitions at each of them, which go into more detail on individual topics.
