Best trails in Liesjärvi National Park
Liesijärvi National Park is located on the southern border of Kanta-Häme, between Karkkila and Forssa. The park has beautiful forest and lake landscapes, and the Korteniemi heritage farm offers a glimpse of life in the old days.
The park has over 100-year-old forests, almost 50 kilometers of shoreline, marshland, and ridges. In the vicinity of the Korteniemi heritage farm, in particular, there is a wide variety of meadow and field flowers, and the forests are rich in birdlife and flying squirrels. Some of the park's forests are maintained with controlled burns, and the heritage environment is maintained by grazing and reaping.
There are five campfire sites in the Liesijärvi area and a reservable, accessible cooking shelter at Tittilammi. Camping is permitted in the immediate vicinity of the Savilahti camping area, the Peukalolampi lean-to shelter, and the Kaksvetinen Lapp hut. The park has two rental cabins.
There are bus stops along Highway 2, each a few kilometers from the park.
