Best partially-paved trails in Vallendar

This route follows stage 9 of the Rheinsteig, which begins in Vallendar and ends in Koblenz. The trail leads from the timber-framed buildings of Vallendar through quiet valleys and rolling terrain, passing the Schönstatt Chapel and the Bischofsbour spring. Hikers cross the former BUGA grounds to reach the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress before descending a steep, near-alpine rocky path to the banks of the Rhine River.
