Best river trails in Ramberg

This route follows stage 8 of the Palatinate Wine Trail, starting in Dernbach and ending in Annweiler. The path climbs steeply through dense forests toward Eußerthal, before leading through scenic orchards and up another steep ascent between Grüneck and the Franzosenkopf. It then passes through the small wine village of Gräfenhausen and ascends past the Holderquelle to the Krappenfels viewpoint, which offers sweeping views of Trifels Castle before a final descent into Annweiler. Leisurely loop hike in the Ramberg Valley of the Southern Wine Route. The family-friendly circular hike starts at the Nordic Walking Park, where there are numerous parking spaces. From here it leads through the Ramberg Valley and the Palatinate Forest, with several vantage points, rest areas and a Mariengrotte on the way.

From the hiking car park "Drei Buchen" near Ramberg on the Drei Burgenweg past the ruins "Meistersel", with a big swing to the ruins "Ramburg" and down into the valley to Ramberg and Dernbach. Back up past the Dernbacher house and on to the Landauer hut. From there to the ruin "Neu Scharfeneck" and back to the hiking car park "Drei Buchen".
