As is to be expected in the slate region, you pass numerous old slate pits, such as the Colonia pit or the Maria shank. A special highlight of the route is the rebuilt split house on the Herrenwiese. You also pass the monastery and pilgrimage church of Maria Martental, which was founded in 1140. The route is well signposted and marked with a green-blue heart.
