Best backpacking trails in Klingenmünster

This route follows stage 9 of the Palatinate Wine Trail, a long-distance trail starting in Annweiler and ending in Klingenmünster. The path climbs toward Trifels Castle and passes the Barbarossa inn and the Fensterfelsen rock formations. It descends steeply before ascending through chestnut forests to the Neukastell Castle ruins, then continues through Leinsweiler and Eschbach up to the Madenburg Castle ruins. This stage leads from Klingenmünster via Karlsplatz past the Peace Chapel in Birkenhördt, past the Cramerhaus at Lindelbrunn to Vorderweidenthal.
