Best camping trails in Königswinter

Popular loop in the Siebengebirge nature park, North Rhine-Westphalia. This is a beautiful loop through the valley of the Teufelsarschbach, just a few kilometers east of Koenigswinter. Even if there are some beautiful forest sections, this hike mainly leads through vast fields and meadows. The hike is easily accessible by bus and train (bus stop "Oberpleis Schulzentrum"). This route follows stage 13 of the Bergischer Weg and connects Stadt Blankenberg with Oberpleis. Leaving the Katharinentor in Stadt Blankenberg, the trail leads along the city wall and follows Ahrenbach stream toward Uckerath. It continues past Derenbach stream to timber-framed houses in Hermesmühle before ascending via Wellesberg to the Hühnerberg basalt works and descending into Nonnenberg near Oberpleis.
