This walk leads to the summit of the castle hill in Falkenstein, a district of Königstein im Taunus. The path starts at Reichenbachweg near the Catholic church and winds up to the Falkenstein castle ruins, built in the 14th century as "Neu-Falkenstein" next to the older Nürings tower castle. Pine trees and gnarled oaks grow on the rocky slopes of the Burghain, and with a bit of luck, visitors might spot roe deer or the rare black woodpecker in the dense forests of the Taunus Nature Park.
